Do you have a bunch of plastic easter eggs waiting to be filled up for the easter egg hunt? I have another way of utilizing these easter eggs to help your littles learn about color and matching!
Supplies to play plastic eggs color sorting game
Some plastic eggs
The free printable (downloaded on the image below)
A basket to hold your items (we used these egg trays)
Print and cut out the prompt cards and add them to your basket with 2 eggs of each of the colors on the cards.
Randomly pick one card and make the color combo displayed. Ask your child what colors she is putting together. Is the purple on the top? What color is on the bottom?
As you can see we can also use this plastic eggs activity to practice our on top or bottom observations.
Putting these plastic eggs together is also great fine motor skills! Another thing you will notice is that the top of the plastic eggs are more pointy the bottoms, which in itself is a great way for little ones to sort by distinguishing size and shape.
