We’ve had it in the morning for breakfast, as a fun snack in the afternoon, and as an after-dinner treat as well. The kids never object to this Lucky Charms Yogurt Parfait and I’m all for having something festive and fun to eat!
Lucky Charms Yogurt Parfait Ingredients
Since this is such a simple and easy recipe, you only need the following ingredients to get started. I told you that this recipe was so simple and easy to use!
1 cup Lucky Charms cereal
1 cup greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla or mint extract (optional)
4 drops green food coloring (optional)
Directions
In a small bowl, combine the greek yogurt with the food coloring and extracts if you’re using them.
Then add the Lucky Charms cereal first in the serving dish, removing some marshmallows to use as garnish.
Top with the mixed yogurt.
You can alternate layers of cereal and yogurt, or just stick to a single layer, as shown below.
Garnish with the marshmallows and serve immediately. Kids will enjoy it more when the cereal is still crunchy.
I admit that we have to limit our sugar because of my own sweet tooth, but this would be a nice idea for a once in a while type of treat.
Keep in mind that this is a very versatile recipe that you can easily have fun with. Changing up the color of the yogurt is part of the fun as well! And if you want to make this during the year and not save it for St. Patrick’s Day, that’s totally up to you!
Because once the kids get a taste of this yogurt parfait, they’re going to want it and ask for it all the time! This yogurt parfait recipe is a fun and simple way to get the kids involved more in the kitchen!
